H I Steven,,I have written to you before, and read this site daily,,it's my own personal support network! Thanks! I have maintained no contact, cut him out of my life,e-mail/msn/blocked phones/changed cell #,however I just found out last week, he appeared at my place of employment, and was looking for me. I work in a remote community,I was freaked out to say the least, what is the best response if he comes in again?

First, you should alert your employer. Tell your employer that you are concerned that this man is emotionally unstable and that he poses a threat to you. Ask that no information is given to him, no knowledge of your whereabouts is given to him, and that he is asked to leave the premises. Make it clear to your employer that you are concerned that this "ex-boyfriend" of yours may be stalking you and you would appreciate all the appropriate protection your office can provide. If necessary, you can send a very cold, clear letter about your readiness to report his behavior to the local police if he continues to appear at your workplace. Sounds cold, I know. But sometimes it's the only option. Steven Carter Read Steven Carter's guest transcripts on Power Surge. |
