Dear Dr.Lamothe,
I Would like to ask some advice for my mother. She's 59 years old, 168cm tall and weighs 75 kilos. In the past she had accidents that have restricted her mobility (leg and arm); alhtough she's doing fine now, she doesn't feel confident about doing some more intensive exercise, as she fears she might hurt herself.She Has gained weight and she now gets tired more easily, and she feels less flexible (stiff muscles). Her diet is healthy.Could You reccomend some gentle exercises , or perhaps some herbal remedies that would help?

Hi, Jen:

I'd suggest your mother confer with a naturopath or a homeopathic physician in your area. There are gentle exercises like yoga and tai chi which might be beneficial for her, but I can't really suggest she try anything unless her physician and a holistic practitioner see her in person and make the recommendation. Hope this helps...
