I've missed my period for the past two months. Before that, they were about 21 days apart and very short in duration. My doctor said I was in perimenapause. Now that I've missed a few months, I 'm waiting for the hot flashes to start, but so far, nothing. I had my tubes tied about 12 years ago, so pregnancy shouldn't be an issue. Do hot flashes start right away because of the drop in estrogen? What should I expect? Thank you.

going into menopause varies from wopman to woman. I would wait until your periods stop and then see how you feel. Sincerely, Dr. Townsend |
