Pharmacy Expert Q&A's
Name: Cheryl

Question:
Can you please give me some information on estrogen based vaginal creams.I Am 51 years of age and am experiencing vaginal pain during intercourse and I have been told that my vagina is inflamed and dry, my gyne has suggested HRT but I would prefer a natural approach. Can you please tell me what would be the best vaginal cream with the lowest side effects? Keeping in mind that I am in Canada and some products may not be available to me. At the moment I am trying Vitamin E/Vitamin A/Zinc/Acidophilus/Soy Isoflavone Complex for the past two weeks - I do feel that there is a little more comfort although I have not trying intercourse at this time for a month becuase of the pain. I have also been using Replens and inserting a Vitamin E capsule every two days. Thank you for you time.

Answer:
Dear Cheryl:

I would suggest our Estriol vaginal cream 1.mg per gram and we can ship it to you in a 30 gram or 60 gram tube with an applicator. You insert one gram at bedtime for 10 days in a row and then 2 or 3 x's a week thereafter, like on Mon and Thurs or else on Mon and Wednes. and Fridays at bedtime. Your doctor is correct the good answer would to go on some Natural "human Identical" hormone regimens. We can compound those and ship them into Canada. If you would want a suggestion on what to use, then go to our website and in the consultation area scroll down to the hitory form, submit it, and we will get back to you.

The Estriol Vag cream, even though natural, does require a prescription order from a doctor. Hope this helps for now and we do hope to work with you in the near future.
