Intimacy Expert Q&A's
Name: Osla

Question:
I wanted to know if a boy can know during having sex with his girl if she had sex before or not.

Answer:
No. There's lots of normal variation in the openings of the hymen and there are many circumstances in which the hymen has been further perforated (sports, tampon use, masturbation practices, accidents, etc.). It's a myth that if the woman doesn't bleed during first penetration then she wasn't a 'virgin'.

Many women have a smaller introitus (opening) and others have a larger introitus -- not unlike the variation we find in height or shoe size, so tightness is not a reliable measure of virginity either.

If you want to know if the girl has had sex before, I suggest you ask her and if you don't trust her enough to ask her, you probably shouldn't be sleeping with her.

By the way, don't forget to use contraception.
