Ask Dr. Stephen Holt Q&A's
Name: Penny

Question:
I was wondering if dizzy spells occur if you are starting to go through menopause. These spells are just when I lay down to go to sleep, sometimes if I wake up & roll over(not often/every night) or if I start to sit up too fast after waking up.

Answer:
Dizzy spells can be due to many things and it is not safe to just assume it is menopause. You may have "postural hypotension" -- blood pressure falls with rapid change of posture. Look at www.naturesbenefit.com and www.menoplan.com . Also, please get a medical checkup.

Thank you for your question.
