Ask Dr. Erika Q&A's
Name: darlene

Question:
HI Dr. Erika, I am 52 years old and in July of 2003, I had a heart attack due to a blood clot. I have been going through a perimenopause from hell for the last 10 years, and nothing I've tried has really helped. Would it be safe for me to use any type of natural hormones, considering my recent heart problem? Thanks, Darlene

Answer:
Dear Darlene:

There is no reason why you would not take natural hormones. Hopefully you will feel better and stress your system less.

Also, feeling better will make it easier for you to follow a healthy diet, increase the amount of physical activity you need to truly protect you from further heart or other chronic illnesses.

I could help with the natural hormone dosing. Call my office or go on line to www.DrErika.com.

Best wishes,

Dr. Erika
