Revival Soy Doctor Q&A's
Name: Ruby

Question:
64 years old. Ovaries removed. Can't take HRT due to blood clot from angiogram procedure. Hot flashes, night sweats and no sleep are very tortuous. Also can't concentrate very well. What do you recommend?

Answer:
Hello,

While soy is not a replacement for prescription medication or HRT, over twenty clinical trials show that soy can help you have a more enjoyable and healthy midlife by lessening hot flashes or other common discomforts of menopause. http://www.revivalsoy.com/whysoy/article.html?article=menopause.&pid=3000

Soy consumption has been shown to significantly improve a woman’s comfort and health during perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause. A medical review in American Family Physician (the journal of the prestigious American Association of Family Physicians) found that soy can significantly improve the discomforts of menopause.

A recent Revival clinical trial also showed very positive benefits at a leading medical hospital. Study participants showed improvements in hot flashes, night sweats, and other common discomforts.

Scientists became very interested in soy’s potential role for menopause health support after demographic studies revealed that only ~10-20% of women living in Asia, where the diet is rich in soy, experienced hot flashes during mid-life, in contrast to almost ~80 to 90% of Western women who experience menopausal discomforts.

Because soy can support menopausal health, and may also promote normal bone and cholesterol health, many doctors and healthcare providers now recommend soy as part of a healthy midlife strategy.

Please let me know if I can help further.
Best Regards,
Aaron Tabor, MD
