Relationship Expert Q&A's
Name: Leana

Question:
I am in therapy, but so haunted by these words from my ex CP: "You have to face the fact that you're a middle-aged woman, and no one wants a middle-aged woman. You were great looking when you were younger, but you aren't anymore. You have to face that 'fact.'" Then hearing about women who came into his business who he regaled as gorgeous, only to remind me that they were gorgeous because they were half my age. Oh, and I am taking exception to this abuse because I am just an insecure middle-aged woman who can't face the fact that I am no longer adorable, as I was when I was 20. I am living in hell!

Answer:
If you want to make his words real then they will be real. If you want to dismiss them as the words of an abuser, you have the ability to do that. It's your choice.
