Medical Doctor Q&A's
Name: julie

Question:
I've been on bio-identical Hormones since March. I've been trying to cycle and get my period but it's not coming-even after 14 days of 200 mg prometrium. My doctor says I should now take the estrogen and progesterone together every day. Isn't this harmful. I think Dr. Diane Schwarbeing says it's like being in a state of pregnancy all the time? Is that true?
thank You

Answer:
Your doctor is correct, you should now take the estrogen and progesterone together. It is the dose that is important. When the correct dose for the individual patient is given, all benefits will accrue and there will be no relationship to a \"pregnant state\".
