Relationship Expert Q&A's
Name: barb

Question:
After several curtain calls that ended with him not calling anymore, I finally told him to "leave me out of his life. Goodbye" before he just stopped calling. I feel power after having done this, because I never had the strength before to do this. I don't worry at all about me maintaining no contact, as I have never contacted him before. What I do worry about is him contacting me yet again. I am moving on and really trying to look toward a happy future. I realized this last time there is no such thing as happy or future with him. I would rather not even have to be put in the position where he contacts me again. It stirs up to many emotions. Could the strength and confidence I showed possibly end the curtain calls?

Answer:
Maybe yes, maybe no. Court orders will do it. But anything short of that is unpredictable. The important thing is that you did what you needed to do and you will support your language with behavior.
