Just found this quote in the archives: "...before You can begin to find those chunks of you that seem lost for good. They're only lost if you choose to keep him alive in your thoughts and in your heart." This is my struggle. He is still alive in my thoughts. I know that I have passive CP tendancies but I can't get my ex-CP out of my mind. The pain lessens day by day, yet sometimes it returns like a punch in the stomach. He attempts to contact me, but I ignore him. I know that I have no future with him, yet he's still in my thoughts. Being dumped by a N/CP at the height of a relationship causes pain that others can't comprehend. I am in counselling yet it hasn't helped me push him out of my thoughts. I just want to forget him. The memories are excrutiating. I wish I could erase them.
