I am 47 years old and having hourly hot flashes. I have been taking prempro for 3 days and it says not to stop taking it without a Dr. Recomend. Why?

First of all it will take 7 to 10 days to start working and relieve symptoms. You never want to stop hormones abruptly, but when stopping, then wean off of them slowly over a period of 3 to 4 weeks.
