Alan Altman, M.D. is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at the Harvard Medical School. He is a board-certified gynecologist in private practice, and specializes in menopause. Over the past fifteen years he has been quoted in a variety of publications including "Time Magazine," "The Boston Globe," "Boston Herald," "Glamour" and "Self Magazine." Dr. Altman has appeared on such shows as "Good Morning America," "People are Talking," "Getting Healthy" and "Doctor On Call."

Dr. Altman is the President and Co-Founder of Women’s Healthcare Video Library, Inc. He wrote and co-produced the highly acclaimed video productions, "Transitions: Preparing for Menopause, " "Adolescence: A Woman’s First Transition," and "Fertility: Pathways and Obstacles to Pregnancy."
